Ms. Maheshika Niriella earned her B.Sc. Degree from the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL). In 1988, she did her A/Ls in Bio Science stream and she was selected to follow the B.Sc. Undergraduate course in University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She dropped that opportunity and selected Siyane College of Education instead.

In 2007, she obtained her professional qualification by completing the Diploma for teaching for Science (EM). Ms. Maheshika Niriella was appointed for Dudley Senanayaka Vidyalaya and had been worked there nearly for 3 years. Then she got transferred to Isipathana College, Colombo and has been teaching nearly for 10 years.

Presently, Ms. Maheshika Niriella who gave the massive guidance in establishing the association, has been working as the Teacher-In-Charge of Inventors' Association of Isipathana College.
